Another of our earliest playtester, Zoe, is here to share her thoughts about one of her favorite Super Powered Smash Masters heroes: Ghost Pirate. But first, here’s a little bit of strategy for all you more serious gamers out there…
Playing with Ghost Pirate
The first thing you need to know about Ghost Pirate is that he’s very, very skinny. Also, he longs for us to return to a simpler time, a wondrous time when people carried lots of gold around on their persons. While he’s waiting for us to abandon our credit cards and return to that golden age, he’s found some pleasant distractions as our spookiest superhero.
In Super Powered Smash Masters, all heroes can attack each other directly by using Smash cards. This means you actually need to have Smash cards in your hand before you can attack. Unless you have a hero like Ghost Pirate, who can attack by using an innate Power.
Ghost Pirate has the ability to attack other heroes without using a Smash card, provided the hero has the letter “R” in their name. This, as you might imagine, is awesome. Free attacks mean you can attack… for free! This also means that when Ghost Pirate apparates onto the playfield, your opponents start saying stuff like “oh crap!” and “I quit!” and “yay, pirates!”
If you’re playing with Ghost Pirate, you’re using him as soon as possible to make the most out of his incredibly useful power. If you’re playing against him, you’re probably trying to defeat him ASASP (As Soon As Supernaturally Possible).
Here’s Zoe to sound off about our sublime superswashbuckler.
Smash ya’ later!
